Wow what a busy month May has been. I haven't been on here forever! I can't believe Relay is almost here! I have been thrown so many curve balls on the Relay I hope I can pull it off! The school told me last week we needed to change our location and couldn't have it at Lone Peak! I thought I was going to have a heart attack! They have no idea what goes into planning this event! We have been planning it for a year! We got it all worked out and just will not be able to be on the Football Field. We are on the other side of the track fence. Thats ok at least we have the track and are able to keep the location! Crazy! They really could have waited a week to re-seed the field! Oh Well.

I am so proud of Justin's Relay team from Timberline. So far they have raised over $2000.00! They have worked really hard and I can't wait to see what they turn in on Friday!

This event has consumed my life but it is so worth it. I am looking forward to a few weeks off before I start planning next year.

We are hopeful to hear that Troy has a job by this Friday and that I will start working for JetBlue airlines. Free flight Beni's Whooo Hooo! It has been a tough year so far!

I am approaching my first year as a cancer survivor and thanking my Heavenly Father for watching over me and helping me cope with this disease. I am so thankful for my best friend, my Relay friends and my family for helping me through all of this. Thanks Lynette for being there at Twins Relay to walk beside me and lending your shoulder for me to cry on. That was a tough lap! I pray every day that we will find a cure for this dreaded disease!

I am also looking forward to spending some time with my family who is so kind to help me out this weekend. They have stepped up to be my logistics committee and help me get things set up. My family takes up most of my committee since we really don't have many people. It will be nice to spend time with Josh. I miss him so much even though he lives only 20 minutes away, we don't see him much.

Update

Well things are getting really busy for me. I have the Twin Falls Relay for Life on the 15th and 16th and the North Utah County one June 5th and 6th.

Troy is still looking for work and unfortunately got passed up for a job because he was used to making more money than they were offering and they thought he would leave when the economy got better. He just wants to get back to work and I feel so bad for him. They told him he was the best canidate they had ever interviewed. Their loss. He has some other things in the works and we hope one of them comes through soon.

We have had the grandkids all week and I now feel very old! I need to be 20 years younger to keep up with them. They are so adorable and we are really having a good time with them. They love going to the farm at Thanksgiving Point and riding the horses. It is so cute to watch them. We are so lucky to have such sweet spirits here with us!

Wow we have had a busy couple of days! I am running around like crazy trying to get ready for Relay for Life in June. It is a crazy time for me. I will be participating in both the Twin Falls relay and North Utah County. If you have never come to Relay for Life you must at least come out to see what it is all about. We have so much fun! We are celebrating today because Troy has an interview on Friday!!!! This will be his second with this company and it is in person with the VP. We are happy to see an interview! All the ones he has had have been on the phone so we are getting farther. Most of the people he was laid off with haven't even had interviews so we are hopeful. He has had quite a few. Plus this one is in Salt Lake so no moving!!!!!! That is the important thing. We really don't want to move again. I have been busy subbing all week and had a cute class today that can't wait to have me back on Friday! I love teaching!

My best friend has been going through some hard times fighting to see her dad! Crazy situation with the stepmom. The kids are all adults and she wont let him see them because she is trying to put him on his deathbed. I talked to him yesterday and I it sounds like it really helped. I am so excited! He just needed to hear it from someone outside the family that it is not right. I am so glad I made that phone call.

Well that is what is going on with us!

About Us

Well things are going a little slow for us right now. Troy is still looking for a job after being laid-off with Moduslink. If anyone knows of any IT jobs please let us know. He is looking for a director of IT position.

We just celebrated the twins 1st birthday in Idaho Falls and had a great time. We took them back to the hotel with us and took Braxton and them swimming. They had a blast. Tayler is definately going to be a swimmer because her arms and legs are already doing the movement! Braxton was so cute when he figured out he could walk across the shallow end with his water wings! He kept yelling "Wook at me Nana" Wook at me!" It was so cute! I don't know how I ever lived without these sweet grandkids.

We started a new hobby in our family on the way home from Idaho Falls. Geocaching! It is so much fun! It took us 9 hours to drive home because we were finding Geocaches a long the way. Found some really good ones. Troy, Justin and I really enjoyed this time together.

Well I really don't know what I am doing but I wanted to start this blog. I hope I can do it justice! I really wanted a place to put pictures of the family and grandchildren for all my friends to see. We will see how it turns out. I am learning how to do this so be patient with me.
